Recently I had the pleasure of visiting 4 different hotels in Cancun, Mexico. Today I am going to share with you my impressions of the Hard Rock Hotel Riveria Maya. Of all the hotels I toured, this one was by far my favorite. The hotel is currently being remodeled and updated, but the current decor and environment is amazing. Driving up to the hotel from the front gate, the road is lined with beautiful natural landscaping. The hotel staff are extremely welcoming when you arrive and walk into the hotel lobby. The interior is decorated beautifully and well maintained. I loved walking around the hotel and admired all of the beautiful landscaping. It truly felt like paradise as we were shown the benefits and amenities of the hotel. The hotel has 1263 rooms. It is very family friendly with 870 Hacienda rooms, but also has a separate Adult Only section called Heaven with 393 rooms. On the adult only side, there are beautiful ocean view swim up rooms. Heaven section has separate swimming pools and beach access to allow adults the quiet and relaxation. The hotel has a private beach lagoon area that runs the length of the resort with access on the adult only and general access sides of the hotel. The private area provides a wonderful place to swim and relax on the beach with no interruptions. The rooms are beautifully designed with hydro spa tubs and hammocks on each balcony. There are 11 restaurants and 9 bars. There are some adult only restaurants and bars on the Heaven Adult Only side. The hotel has multiple activities for families. In Vibe City, there is a bowling alley, trampoline park, video game room, laser tag and a kids club. On the adult only side there is Club Heaven the onsite night club. There are also several different golf clubs nearby that hotel guests have access to and are a short van ride away. This hotel is definitely on my favorite list!
