Carnival Jubilee

Recently, I had the opportunity to take a ship tour of the Carnival Jubilee.  This is the newest Carnival ship. It first sailed in December of 2023.  The Carnival Jubilee currently sails on 7-day cruises from the Port of Galveston.  The ship features the first-ever roller coaster at sea, BOLT Ultimate Sea Coaster. The ship has 19 decks and 2687 staterooms.

We were able to visit several of the different stateroom options.  The most impressive stateroom to me was the LS Excel Suite. This suite was in the rear of the ship. It has a sitting room area, separate bedroom, walk-in closet and a pass-through bathroom.  The suite also boasts a large balcony with lounging chairs and a small whirlpool.  The next stateroom we visited was the Family Harbor staterooms.  There are some regular ocean view rooms as well as ocean view suites.  The suites were a nice size to comfortably house a family of four with young children. The Family Harbor suite also has 2 bathrooms in the suite, one with a bathtub and the other with a shower.  This is very nice for families with small children. The Family Harbor rooms also have their own lounge, and these rooms are on the same level as Camp Ocean and Dr. Seuss Bookville.  I loved Dr. Seuss Bookville! It is a vibrantly colored room full of Dr. Seuss books for families to spend time together.  Another set of suites was the Havana Suite. The Havana suites have their own bar and pool area.

The entire ship is well decorated and clean. The ship is so large that it does not feel overly crowded.  When you board the ship on Deck 6, there is a large stage and lounge seating area.  The area is open up to Deck 8. Each deck has seating around the edge of the balconies so people can sit and enjoy the music and entertainment from the lower stage area.  I was very impressed with how much open seating was available throughout the ship.  They have small sitting areas throughout so you can sit in a quiet spot instead of in a bar, lounge or pool area.  There are multiple bars, lounges and dining options on the ship including Shaq’s Big Chicken, Guy’s Burger Joint and Guy’s Pig & Anchor Smokehouse/Brewhouse and many more.  The Brewhouse has tour options as well for an additional cost.

The Lido deck has additional dining options as well as the main pools and outdoor entertainment. On Deck 18 is the Zone: Ultimate Playground.  The Zone has a Ropes Course and sports courts, a waterpark and a very nice miniature golf course.  It is also the location of the Bolt- Ultimate Sea Coaster.  The rollercoaster does come at an additional cost of ~$15 per person.   The Adult only Serenity area is very nice.  It wraps around the front of the ship on Deck 18.  There is a small pool, 2 whirlpools and the pool bar. It has multiple lounge chairs all around the front of the ship for adults to relax.

The ship also has a very large Casino for those of you who enjoy gambling!  There are 370 slot machines and 22 tables.  The area is nice and open and takes up a little over 1/3 of ship on Deck 7.  There is a comedy club, piano bars, Cloud 9 Spa and fitness center.  This ship has multiple places to relax and socialize. It also has plenty of space and entertainment for the whole family.  It is a beautifully decorated and designed ship!
